Improve student wellbeing with school yoga workshops

Teenage years can be difficult, with mounting pressures of exams, classwork, social behaviour, and physical developments. Yoga can help teens to:

  • improve concentration and confidence

  • learn stress management and controlled breathing techniques

  • increase body and mind alignment

  • develop self-awareness and mindfulness

  • build physical and mental resilience.

As a qualified and experienced secondary school teacher, with a background in dance, gymnastics, surf and yoga, I know supporting student’s health and wellbeing is as important as the curriculum, and has never been more relevant than it is today. Schools need to embed strategies into their welfare frameworks, and by prioritising appropriate programs students and schools can:

  • significantly increase productivity

  • reduce absenteeism

  • lower mental health issues

  • increase student engagement and connection.

This will lead to overall better outcomes. I am passionate about connecting with, understanding and supporting students towards a happy and healthy adolescence.

“I found the workshop very informative, helpful and relaxing. I learnt new stretching techniques that I can now use to benefit my performance and use a foam roller to loosen my muscles and help body recover. This session was a very valuable experience for me, and I would highly recommend it for all athletes.”
